MANAGEMENT PROFILE
This accomplished private sector expert, whose innovative mind quickly established as an exemplary public sector reformer, started his early education at Government Demonstration School, Surulere and Ijebu-Ife Grammar School, Ogun State.
For his higher education, he proceeded to the University of Lagos for a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying & Geo-Informatics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the same University. His Excellency, Mr. Sanwo-Olu is also an alumus prestigous of the prestigious Havard Kennedy School of Government, London Business School and the Lagos Business School.
In addition, he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Directors (IOD), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), and Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Training and Development (NITAD).
In 2003, his eventful career opened to yet another colorful chapter with his appointment, first as Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor on Corporate Matters; and later as Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Corporate Matters in 2004.
His Excellency, Mr. Sanwo-Olu’s entry became a reference point for professionalism and excellence in the public service. At 39, he was appointed acting Commissioner for Economic Planning & Budget from 2004 to 2005, and became the substantive Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in 2007 following his exceptional performance.
His managerial imprint became noticeable at the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions in 2007 when he served as the Commissioner. During this period, Mr. Sanwo-Olu authored an executable Civil Service Framework designed around the Human Capital Performance Index, which puts Lagos State civil servants among the highest and regularly paid in the country.
A public officer with an impressive record of accomplishments, he was instrumental to the setting-up of Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC), a contributory pension scheme, even ahead of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Some of his notable contributions include setting-up and serving as the pioneer Chairman the Lagos State Security Trust Fund Board, tracking and intelligent analysis of Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) by the various government agencies and parastatals, including the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR), for executive consideration and policy making; as well as preparation and publication of the Lagos State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (LASEEDS).
It is also to Sanwo-Olu’s credit that the Lagos Asset Management Limited (LAGBUS) was established to ease the public transportation problem by complementing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Lagos State. He also worked on the Control & Command Centre in Alausa, which significantly improved the capacity of the security agencies to respond to distress calls in a swift and timely manner.
His Excellency, Mr. Sanwo-Olu was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSPDC) in 2016, and in just 2 years, the visionary administrator had returned the hitherto struggling organisation to the path of efficiency and profitability.
He also refocused the organisation to effectively tackle housing deficit in the state, which again validated his credentials as a resourceful leader and problem solver.
His valuable experience garnered from executive-level roles in the private and public sectors has not only distinguished him, but also made him a valuable resource to some notable organisations on whose boards he has served.
It is unexpected that Babajide’s enterprising career in the private sector, defining roles in public service and selfless contributions to the society would not have attracted international recognition and accolades at home. But as a man attired in modesty, these awards and laurels are encouragements that keep him on the path of service to God and humanity.
A devout Christian and family-focused man whose marriage to Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu is blessed with lovely children, Mr. Sanwo-Olu, in addition to his love for public speaking, is a member of numerous prestigious clubs, which include Ikoyi Club 1938, the Island Club, Yoruba Tennis Club and the Clear Essence Health Club.

Principal Officers
The DMO is headed by a Permanent Secretary and is assisted by other management and staff in the day to day running of the office.
She has a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from ESUT Business School (Enugu State University of Science & Technology). She is an Associate of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.
A seasoned investment banker with over fifteen (15) years experience in the private sector. She started her career with the then Midas Merchant Bank Limited and Midas Stockbrokers Limited where she spent about five (5) years between 1992 and 1997.
She later proceeded to Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited (the foremost Stockboroking Firm in Nigeria) and rose to the position of Deputy Manager before joining the First Bank Group in 2006 as a Manager responsible for the Group’s Stockbroking outfit. Mrs. Sanusi rose to the position of an Associate Director and voluntary resigned as an Associate Director from FBN Capital Limited (a Subsidiary of Fist Bank Plc and FBN Holdings Plc) to join the Public Sector in 2012.
She started her career in the Lagos State Civil Service in 2013 with a familiarization tour of some key Ministries namely, Civil Service Commission, Office of Establishments, Training and Pension State Treasury Office and the Public Service Office. She was later deployed to the erstwhile Debt Management Office responsible for debt recording and management and presently in the Office of Finance, Debt Management Office.
In the course of her career, she attended several leadership courses and programmes organized by different Institutions, which includes the prestigious London Business School UK.
Mrs. Sanusi is married and blessed with children.
He commenced his Civil Service stint in 1991 as a Master Grade III. Thereafter he transferred to the mainstream Civil Service in 1999. He has served in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in several capacities as an Administrative Officer Namely: Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs 1999-2005, Ministry of Justice 2005-2009, Public Service Office 2009-2003, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency 2004-2018, Office of Finance 2018-2019, Debt Management Office 2019 till date.
He was employed into Lagos State Teaching service as an Education Officer in 1999 and rose to the level of Senior Education Officer before he was transferred to State Treasury Office as a Senior Accountant in 2007. Upon his transfer to State Treasury Office, he was deployed to Civil Service Pensions Office. He was later redeployed to the Office of Drainage Services in 2011 where he served until his redeployment to Lagos state Ministry of Justice in September, 2017 as Chief Finance and Accounts Officer. Mr. Abimbola Emmanuel was appointed as the Head of Finance and Accounts Directorate in December, 2019.
Soboyede, Oluseun is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria 2013, Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria (2021), and a Certified IPSAS Professional, ACCA UK (2019). He is widely trained in areas of Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Banking Operations and Public Finance home and abroad.
His experience is multi-facet, in Finance Department of a Multinational, Adminl/Human Resource Management in a successful manufacturing concern, Operations/ Internal Audit Department in a Bank and Head of Admin/Finance Department of a Consultancy Firm. He gained on the job training locally and internationally in safety and health management, security management, marketing management and production management before joining Lagos State Civil Service in the year 2016 as Assistant Chief Accountant at State Treasury Office where he was inducted.
Soboyede, Seun was deployed to Debt Management Department (Now Debt Management Office) immediately he joined Lagos Civil Service and has since participated in raising series of Bonds (including the largest Bond in the Sub-Sahara of Africa) and Bank Credits for the State Growth Cum Development. He had brief stint at Lagos State Ministry of Housing Accounts Department as Head of Funds Unit and Worked as Finance & Accounts Officer at the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission.
He is a fellow of Certified Institute of Development Studies of Nigeria (2011) and Member of Nigerian Economic Society (2011). A teacher of many in ICAN Accredited Training Institutions and a part-time lecturer of management courses of Lagos Centre of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH).
His secondary school education was at Federal Government College Ogbomoso, Oyo state (1988-1993) where he completed his West African School Certificate (WAEC). He attended Lagos State University,Ojo (LASU) where he studied Economics and graduated in 2001 with a BSc in Economics. He served the nation (NYSC) at the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Lagos between 2001 and 2002.
He joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2002 as an Inspector of Taxes II with the Board of Internal Revenue. He was later redesignated in 2005 as a Planning Officer under the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget. He has served in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) including: Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Lagos State Valuation Office (LSVO),Lagos State Examinations Board (LSEB), Department of Economic Planning(DEP/MEPB),Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development (MPP&UD),Lagos State Building Control Agency (LABCA), Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and currently, Debt Management Office (DMO).
Mr Sogunro Feyisayo is a team player, diligent and proactive. He is happily married with children. His hobbies are swimming, cooking and listening to music.
He Started with the Lagos State Government as a Program Analyst II in the Ministry of Science and Technology where he was a Project team member on the establishment of LASG Central Billing Platform then deployed to Public Utilities Monitoring and Assurance Unit as a Senior program Analyst all before current Deployment as Head Information and Technology in Lagos State Debt Management Office.
